Hello, I'm Petra, mom of two adorable children, the founder of MUMI MADE.
WHAT DOES MUMI MADE DO?
Unique jewelry made from your personal mementos. I specialize in the following areas:
- Mother's milk jewelry
- commemorative jewelry
- commemorative jewelry
- Upcycling and commissioned work
HOW ARE PEARLS MADE FROM BREAST MILK?
Your breast milk is prepared by me accordingly and preserved for further processing. Subsequently, I cast your bead/s with an ecological resin.
HOW MUCH BREAST MILK DO YOU NEED FOR ONE BEAD?
Usually no more than 15 ml. This is also somewhat dependent on how large you want your bead to be, or if I will be casting a couple for the finished piece of jewelry.
Why breast milk jewelry?
In short, it was our time together breastfeeding my second child. This experience of caring for my child made me want to find a way to capture a part of it.

Through my first visits to workshops and with my ongoing collaborations with local goldsmith workshops.

My unquenched curiosity and my great interest in craftsmanship.
HOW LONG DO YOU NEED FOR A PIECE OF JEWELRY?
A normal order takes between 2-6 weeks.
IN WHICH FORM DO I SEND YOU MY PERSONAL MEMENTOS?
The easiest way is with my XS-PRE-AB PAKET, which you can find in my webshop. But otherwise you can also wrap them yourself, in zipper bags and well sealed and labeled.
WHAT MAKES MUMI MADE SPECIAL?
The core of my work is in bead design, but what makes my work special is the indivudality and working out together.
WHAT PERSONAL MEMENTOS DO YOU WORK INTO BEADS?
Flower petals, flotsam & jetsam, shells & sand, fur & ashes, mother's milk, umbilical cord
Placenta, child's hair, collected items from the child.
IF I DON'T HAVE BREAST MILK?
Then you can still have beautiful "moments" in life captured. For example, petals from your bridal bouquet, beads with child hair or other personal mementos.
WHAT IS MEMORIAL JEWELRY?
Memorial beads made of ashes , navel, fur and hair. Likewise, memorial jewelry can also be made in the form of an urn pendant or bracelet.
WHICH PEARL SHAPES ARE POSSIBLE?
Round, teardrop, oval, round table, large, XS, XL. Basically any. I specialize in molding so I can create a mold from a negative/bead/stone myself.
CAN I COLOR CODE MY BEADS?
Yes, you have all the possibilities to determine yourself. Silver, gold, rose gold dust, mother of pearl effect, pigments in all colors, neon, glow in the dark.
The color determination and the total content of your pearl / pearls we work together individually.

WHAT IS MUMI MADE'S POSITION ON SUSTAINABILITY?
MUMI MADE works exclusively with an ecological resin and prefers recycled silver. All materials are sourced from German manufacturers and suppliers or from local goldsmiths.
Thus MUMI MADE saves travel miles and CO2 emissions throughout the entire production chain. With limited editions and "upcycling" of old jewelry, MUMI MADE avoids overproduction and thus protects our environment.
